The first time I heard the Darkwave Electro project called LEATHERS was on You Tube earlier this year. I immediately bought their album Ultraviolet on Bandcamp & have been a fan ever since. Then I noticed that my favourite track ‘Highrise’ didn’t have an official music video so being the obsessive creative that I am I thought it would be cool to make a music video with my own animations & individual style. I used a compilation of some motion experiments I made this summer plus some new animation clips I made for this project to build a visual narrative that would bring the Highrise theme to life.
